We Are Solidly Behind Tinubu, There Must Be Balance – Obi Cubana

Obi Cubana Throws Weight Behind Tinubu, Calls for Unity and Regional Balance

Prominent businessman Obi Cubana has formally thrown his support behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid, highlighting the need for national unity and equitable development across all regions.

Cubana made the declaration through the newly launched city boy movement, a youth-focused initiative designed to educate and empower communities on national development.

Addressing Governor of Enugu State, Peter Mbah, Cubana clarified that the movement is not a political party but a platform primarily supporting Tinubu’s re-election. He said, “The unique thing about this movement is that it’s made up of young people, mostly businessmen, not politicians. Our goal is the betterment of our neighbors. Our people lack knowledge, and our work is mostly to educate, to give orientation, and to reorient them, to know whether they are well-acquainted with our collective path forward.”

Cubana stressed the importance of inclusivity in governance, particularly for the Igbo region. “Today, we believe in the government of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. We, as young professionals and successful businessmen, have come out to tell our people that we are solidly behind Mr. President and his re-election bid. Any Igbo has to be taken to the center. We cannot always be doing divisive politics,” he said.

He added, “There must be balance, and there must be recognition of every region, because there’s a lot to be done here. We have to be connected to the gas, to the rail.”

Cubana further highlighted the importance of constructive engagement with the government for regional progress, noting, “If we are all in opposition to this government, eventually we won’t be remembered. We stand on Bola Tinubu’s mandate. The City Boy Movement is about the progress of Igbo land. Our people lack knowledge, and it is my responsibility to educate them. We stand solidly behind Tinubu.”
