Adamu Garba Denies Leaving APC, Labels Reports ‘Fake News’
Former All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential aspirant, Adamu Garba, has dismissed claims circulating on social media that he has quit the ruling party.
The reports, first shared by a user identified as @tenibegiloju202, alleged that Garba had removed the APC flag from his office and parted ways with the party, citing dissatisfaction with President Bola Tinubu’s leadership. The post read:
“BREAKING: One of the ardent supporters of APC, Adamu Garba, just dumped the party. He removed the APC flag from his office and bid them farewell. According to him, the party under Tinubu has derailed and no longer does what the people want. More to follow.”
Reacting to the claim, Garba described it as “false and misleading” and urged the public to disregard it.
In a post on 𝕏 (formerly Twitter), he reaffirmed his commitment to the APC, accusing unnamed sources of spreading what he called “mercantile fake news.”
“These bot-trons want to drag me back on this street with their mercantile fake news. I’m still very much a full member of the APC,” he wrote.
Garba also appealed for privacy, asking the public to allow him to focus on his personal projects, including his writing and business ventures.
“Please allow me to write my books and do my business in peace,” he added.
