PDP Can Never Die, Wabara Declares

Umuahia, Abia State – Former Senate President and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees (BoT) Chairman, Senator Adolphus Wabara, has reassured party members nationwide that the PDP will not die.

Addressing growing concerns over the party’s future following prolonged internal leadership disputes, Wabara said the PDP has been repositioned for future electoral victories. Speaking at the flag-off of the party’s online membership registration in Umuahia, he noted that concerted efforts were ongoing to resolve internal challenges affecting the party.

The event also featured a stakeholders’ meeting and the inauguration of the Local Government Caretaker Committee leadership under the Kabiru Tanimu Turaki-led National Working Committee (NWC). Overwhelmed by the turnout of party faithful, Wabara declared: “The PDP can never die.”

He commended the Abia PDP Caretaker Committee Chairman, Hon. Ikpegbu Emeka-Yellow, for demonstrating leadership capacity in less than a month in office. Wabara urged him and his team to avoid past mistakes, including godfatherism, and emphasized that rebuilding the party would yield greater dividends when leaders provided equal opportunities for all members. He also encouraged citizens across the state to register en masse.
