Ohafia Local Government Area has launched a new community health initiative aimed at improving access to essential medical services for residents across the region.

The program, unveiled at the Ohafia Council Hall in a ceremony attended by community leaders and health officials, focuses on expanding preventive care, maternal health services, and routine medical outreach to underserved communities. It also includes plans for mobile health clinics and health education campaigns to promote healthy living.

Speaking at the launch, the Chairman of Ohafia LGA emphasized the local government’s commitment to ensuring better health outcomes for all citizens. “Our priority is to make quality healthcare accessible to every community, especially in rural areas where services have traditionally been limited,” the Chairman said.

Healthcare professionals involved in the initiative highlighted that residents will benefit from free screenings for common illnesses, immunization drives for children, and awareness programs on nutrition, sanitation, and disease prevention.
