Obidient Movement begs members, aspirants to register on ADC platform

The leadership of the Obidient Movement has urged its members and supporters of the 2023 presidential candidate of the Peter Obi to register with the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

The call was contained in a statement shared on social media by the movement’s coordinator, Yunusa Tanko, who described the registration drive as a matter of “significant urgency.”

Tanko also urged members of the movement who intend to contest, vote or be voted for in the 2027 general election to ensure they complete their online registration with the coalition party.

Addressing concerns surrounding the party’s congresses, he explained that the ADC would end the registration process on March 16 and would submit only the names that appear on its register as of the deadline to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as eligible voters.

He advised members to complete their online registration on or before March 14, 2026, noting that printing of the party’s register would commence on March 15.

Tanko further encouraged those interested in contesting positions during the party’s congresses or primary elections to mobilise their supporters to register online to enable them participate and vote.

According to the movement, the register for the party’s primary elections is expected to close around April 13 or 14, 2026. It therefore urged members to complete the registration process promptly.
