Kwara Not Safe Haven for Criminals — New NSCDC Commandant
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Kwara State Command, has received Commandant Bala Bodinga as its 15th substantive state commandant, with a pledge to intensify the fight against crime and protect critical infrastructure.
The Kwara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has received its new commandant, Bala Bodinga, who has vowed to clamp down on criminal activities across the state.
In a statement by the command’s spokesperson, the new commandant warned that Kwara would not serve as a refuge for criminals, vandals or economic saboteurs, stressing zero tolerance for illegal mining and vandalism of pipelines and other critical national assets. He assured residents of strengthened intelligence-led operations and protection of lives and property.
Bodinga, a seasoned officer who previously headed state commands in Kebbi, Jigawa and Kano and served as National Arm Commander, Special Forces, pledged closer collaboration with other security agencies and community stakeholders, while urging residents to support security efforts with credible information.
