Keyamo: ‘I Would Be a Fool to Call APC a Party of Saints’

Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has declared that only a fool would claim the All Progressives Congress (APC) is a party of saints.

Speaking via his 𝕏 account on Saturday, Keyamo noted that no political party can boast of being perfect. He stressed, however, that the APC remains the best hope for Nigeria, warning against a return to the era of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Keyamo referenced an interview he gave nine years ago, saying some parts of his remarks had been edited out. “I emphasise again: APC may not be a party of saints, but it is still far better than where we were coming from,” he wrote.

He added, “Anyone who declares the party to which they belong as a party of saints would also be a fool. On balance, the APC still holds the best hope for the country, and we cannot return to the era of PDP, which produced some of the characters running for President today. It was only Mr. President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who never joined that battered train of PDP at the time.”
