The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, has reaffirmed his commitment to working with Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, as the governor marked his 61st birthday.

In a congratulatory message issued on Tuesday, Kalu praised Otti’s dedication to the development of Abia State and acknowledged the progress recorded since he assumed office in 2023.

The lawmaker, who represents Bende Federal Constituency, described the governor as a brother and friend, and conveyed goodwill on behalf of his family and constituents.

“Hearty congratulations, Your Excellency, Dr Alex Otti, on your 61st birthday. On behalf of my family and the good people of Bende Federal Constituency of Abia State, I warmly congratulate my elder brother, friend, and Governor,” he said.

Kalu commended the governor’s commitment to governance and urged sustained and increased efforts toward service delivery in the state, noting that the call for greater action should build on existing achievements rather than diminish them.

He stressed the need for continued collaboration in advancing policies and programmes that would promote prosperity and improved living standards for the people of Abia.

“I remain committed to working collaboratively with you in advancing policies and initiatives that will secure a more prosperous future for our people,” he stated.

The Deputy Speaker also wished the governor good health, wisdom, and strength in the years ahead.
