APC Now Commands 31 Governors, More Expected — Edo Governor

Benin City — Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State has announced that the All Progressives Congress (APC) now has 31 governors nationwide, with additional state leaders expected to defect to the ruling party.

Okpebholo made the declaration on Wednesday during an official reception for new defectors held in Benin City, the Edo State capital.

Addressing party members and guests, the governor expressed gratitude to both President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the people of Edo State for their continued support of the APC.

“Let me begin by thanking the people of Edo State for the unity that is bringing us together and strengthening us as one political family,” Okpebholo said.

“Currently, the All Progressives Congress has 31 governors, and I want to assure you that more governors will still join our party. I also want to express my deep appreciation to our father, President Bola Tinubu, for his support. He has been very supportive of us, and we assure him that Edo State will be delivered to him in the 2027 general elections,” he added.

The event highlighted the APC’s growing influence ahead of future elections and underscored the party’s efforts to consolidate political alliances across the country.
