APC Reaffirms 60/40 Formula for Kano Defectors, Old Members
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has reiterated its 60/40 leadership-sharing formula between new defectors and long-standing members in Kano State. National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, said the arrangement is designed to promote inclusiveness and strengthen party cohesion as new members join the fold.
Yilwatda made the remarks during a courtesy visit to Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, expressing satisfaction with the massive turnout of party leaders and supporters. He described the gathering as a strong demonstration of unity, enthusiasm, and commitment among APC members.
He praised the party’s 2023 governorship candidate, Alhaji Yusuf Gawuna, Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Jibrin, and the immediate past national chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, for prioritizing party interests over personal ambitions and contributing to APC’s growth and cohesion in the state.
In response, Governor Yusuf thanked the APC leadership for the visit and their support for unity and peace in Kano. He reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with party stakeholders to ensure the state remains united, prosperous, and aligned with the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda. The governor added that the turnout and show of solidarity were clear indications that APC members in Kano are ready to work collectively for the party’s progress and the state’s development.
