‘Aigboboh’s Appointment Has Boosted Tinubu’s Re-election Bid’

Aigboboh’s Appointment Boosts Tinubu’s Re-election Prospects in Edo

Edo State-born South African entrepreneur, Dennis Iseghohimen, has expressed confidence that the appointment of Hon. Sylvester Aigboboh as Edo State coordinator for President Bola Tinubu’s National Hope Ambassador Initiative will strengthen the president’s re-election bid in the state.

The Edo State chapter of the APC, alongside Governor Monday Okpebholo, had earlier pledged to deliver 3.5 million votes for Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election. In a statement yesterday, Iseghohimen described Aigboboh’s appointment as a well-deserved recognition of his dedication to progressive politics and grassroots mobilisation.

Aigboboh, who also serves as vice chairman of the APC in Edo State, was recently named to lead the National Hope Ambassador Initiative in the state in support of Tinubu’s campaign.

“This strategic appointment is not only a recognition of Hon. Aigboboh’s unwavering dedication to progressive politics, but also a testament to his long-standing commitment to grassroots mobilisation and party unity in Edo State,” Iseghohimen said.

He noted that the role is critical as political actors begin strategising ahead of the 2027 elections. “At a time when strategic grassroots engagement, voter education, and coordinated mobilisation are essential, Hon. Aigboboh’s influence and credibility across local communities will undoubtedly strengthen the president’s support base,” he added.

Iseghohimen also expressed confidence that Aigboboh’s deep understanding of Edo’s political landscape would help consolidate party structures and effectively communicate the Renewed Hope agenda of the Tinubu administration. “This appointment reinforces the administration’s commitment to empowering tested and trusted leaders who understand the pulse of the people,” he said.
